Built on Blockchain: Incentivizing Open Source Hardware and Software Development will show how distributed ledger technology (blockchain), game theory (economics) and cryptography could be used to create scalable ecosystems that incentivize participants to contribute to open source software and hardware projects. Kevin Owocki from Gitcoin will talk about some of the challenges of scaling open source software development and share his thoughts on how to incentivize contribution to OSS projects. Tiberius Brastaviceanu will talk about Sensorica and his efforts to develop Network Resource Planning (http://wiki.p2pfoundation.net/Network_Resource_Planning) and Open Value Accounting (OVA) systems to enable scalable networks of contributors to open source hardware development.
