Growing Spaces for Makers in Colorado
The Maker Community crosses boundaries of science and art, young and old, craftsmanship and technology – all coming together to create the innovation economy. The things we make define us as a society and build our future. The people who invent, create and make have the power to change the world.
The Colorado Maker Hub entertains, informs, inspires and grows this community. We not only showcase makers in our events, we nurture connectivity all year long that leads to business, media, educational, and creative opportunities across this community.
At the core are Colorado’s makerspaces (aka creator/hacker spaces). Makerspaces are growing inside school systems, libraries, and as independent entities that nurture those that want to create. To locate a makerspace near you, check our Maker Map. Note that public library spaces are listed on a link at the bottom of the map.
July 14-16, 2017, we will be hosting the Rocky Mountain Makerspace Summit, bringing makers together from all over the region to share best practices, network, and learn. Click on the link above to learn more and to register. Thanks to the Colorado Springs Community for hosting us – Library 21C, Downtown Colorado Springs, the Manitou Arts Center, and Pikes Peak Makerspace.
