NoCo Mask Project Initiative
The NoCo Mask Project is an informal group of individuals working towards a single purpose of crowd sourcing and manufacturing of protective face shields (not N65 masks) for health facilities in need of these items.
As our community deals with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we realize that us as individuals can help with small steps to help our heathcare workers and attempt to improve their abiltiy to help the rest of our community that is in need. Protecting our caregivers is our top priority!
We are working with several local business and organizations to create an effective, efficient and streamlined process to leverage the 3D printing technology of individuals in the Fort Collins area to help mitigate equipment shortages for our local facilities during this time of COVID-19 spread.
Our contacts include:
- Fort Collins Creator Hub - Donations of materials for printing and purchase of non-printable may be made to the FCCH as we will be leveragine their members (and other non-members) for the 3D printed parts. Please visit the maker page to find out more information on how to make appropriate parts.
- Fort Collins Plastics - We are working locally with Chuck to source the face shield material and potentialy the stretchy bands for the back of the headset sheield.
If you have a facility in need or have questions, please visit the request page for more information.
