What? When? Where?

Welcome to our Colorado-based group!

The nation is facing a critical shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers related to the disruption in the supply chain in China and the increased need as COVID-19 spreads across our country. Together we can work to ensure that our frontline workers have the gear they need to stay safe in case of reaching what the CDC describes as “Crisis Mode.” In this worst case scenario, healthcare workers would not have access to masks or gowns to protect them from pathogens they come across on a daily basis. This is where the homemade gear comes in!

Patterns for gowns, masks, and surgical caps can be found in the group files. Fabric should be able to be washed in high temp/high sanitizer chemical levels.

Drop off locations will be posted under the Events tab.

If you are a healthcare or other essential worker seeking a donation of these items to protect yourself, please follow the instructions in the Announcements. Any items received from this group should be washed in hot water prior to use, and be used at your own discretion. The items are made with love but have not been clinically tested.

Thanks for helping!
